Who Is Jim Sweeney?
 
Jim Sweeney is a practicing lawyer, living in Los Angeles. Unlike most lawyers, he has substantial experience in the operation and management of a business. He was an early member of the computer revolution, beginning his business career with IBM. He was with International Telephone & Telegraph, Quotron and Scientific Data Systems (now Xerox). Jim was the founder of an international computer manufacturing business, a public company of which he was president and chairman for seven years.

Subsequently he helped found other technology companies both as an investor and as a consultant. In addition, Jim has been involved in real estate as an investor and real estate broker. He has been a licensed real estate broker in California for over 20 years.

Jim has been active in civic affairs, including the following:

Jim has a B.A in English literature and a J.D. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, being discharged as a staff sergeant and has four grown children.
